You are the author of your archive. Ethereal guides you through every chapter of your life with thoughtful prompts — or you can simply speak freely. There is no right way to do this.
Step 1 — Choose a prompt category

Each category has guided prompts to spark memories you might not think to share on your own.
Step 2 — Record your voice (or write)
Speak naturally. Record on your phone, laptop, or tablet. You can also type if you prefer. Most recordings are 3–10 minutes. There is no minimum or maximum.
Step 3 — Build your archive over time
The best archives aren’t built in one sitting. They grow over weeks and months. Our mobile app makes it easy to add a memory whenever one surfaces — during a walk, in the car, before bed.
Step 4 — Schedule your future messages
Write personal messages to be delivered to specific people at specific moments — one year after you pass, on their wedding day, when their first child is born. These messages are sealed until their delivery date.
Step 5 — Invite your family
Choose who gets access and what they can see. You control everything. Add family members one at a time, set permissions, and revoke access at any time.

When a family member is given access to an Ethereal archive, they enter a space built entirely around the person they love.

The AI is aware of today’s world. A grandfather who loved baseball can discuss last night’s game. A mother who cared about politics can share her perspective on current events — filtered through her documented values.
🔒 Security
Every archive is encrypted with a unique key. We cannot access your recordings. Your data is never used to train AI models.
